Patrick raises his eyebrow because he thinks that sounds a little bit like a challenge and one that he thinks he'd be okay with taking on. He has this little suspicion that he could definitely do a cover of her Christmas masterpiece that David would appreciate.

His amusement is absolutely clear as he gives David an expectant look.

"I mean," he begins, running his hand over the gift, "if you want to leave this perfectly wrapped gift in the living room until Christmas, we can do that," he promises. "We can absolutely wait." Or at least, Patrick knows he can.
